Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Throwing Shapes has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and collects no personal information about anyone who plays it.

Your games

Your runs, scores, streaks, looks and settings are stored only on your device. If you’re signed in to iCloud, your data also syncs between your devices through your own iCloud account, only accessible to you.

Analytics and diagnostics

The app doesn’t collect any analytics.

To help diagnose any problems you may report, the app keeps a small diagnostic record on your device, which includes what the game was doing around recent throws and launches, any freezes or crashes, how long it took to start, and its memory and battery use, along with the app’s version, your device’s model and its iOS version. This diagnostic record is anonymous, including nothing that identifies you or your device.

If you tap Send Feedback in Settings, the app opens an email to me with the diagnostic record attached. You can read it, and remove it if desired, before you send.

If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may also pass me anonymous crash reports and usage figures, under Apple’s own privacy policy.

Game Center

If you’re signed in to Game Center, your best scores, Daily Challenge results and achievements are sent to Apple’s leaderboards. Apple looks after these under its own privacy policy, and your Game Center settings decide who can see them.

Purchases

The Collector’s Edition is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and I never see your payment details. Refunds can only be issued by Apple.

Your rights

If you’ve emailed me, you can ask for a copy of what I have, or for it to be deleted, at any time. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
